Will graduated from Michigan State University in 2020 with a degree in Kinesiology and a minor of Exercise Physiology. Following MSU, Will obtained his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Oakland University, graduating in the fall of 2023. At Michigan State, Will was a lead undergraduate research assistant in the Human Behaviors and Cognition Lab, conducting research on exercise and its effects on cognition.
During physical therapy treatment, Will tries to utilize a variety of physical therapy techniques to address not only the target area, but the body as a whole. Looking both up and down the kinetic chain, allows for a more holistic approach. Manual therapy techniques (joint mobilizations, soft tissue mobilizations, manual muscle stretching, etc.), neurological techniques in an orthopedic setting (PNF patterns and techniques, error augmentation, etc.), therapeutic exercises and more are a part of Will’s approach to treatment in the clinic. Will was also the team physical therapist for the Hansons-Brooks ODP running team while they trained for the 2024 Marathon Olympic Trials in Orlando Florida, working hands on with the professional runners, ensuring they were injury free before their race.
Will has a passion for working with athletes, and still is an avid hockey player, golfer, and runner himself. He currently lives in the Rochester area, and enjoys being active and spending time with family and friends.
