This program has been designed to enhance the performance of the HS athlete through an individual assessment that will identify any asymmetries or compensations that may be causing injury or inhibiting ultimate performance. Following this biomechanical assessment, the athlete will be progressed and monitored closely through a five-week specified strengthening program.
This initial evaluation will be performed by one of our biomechanical experts at CVSM, Tracy Ryckaert PTA, NSCA-CPT or Chris Bradley PTA, AT, ATC, with over 30 years of combined physical therapy experience both on the field and in a rehab setting. They have specialized in treatment and injury prevention of the endurance athlete. The strengthening classes will be closely supervised and progressed by our exercise experts, Michelle Miller CPT, RRCA Certified and Craig Brittingham BA Holistic Medicine.
The five week program will meet weekly on Wednesday evenings at 6:15 PM beginning Feb 24th. Biomechanical-assessments should be scheduled independently prior to the start of the program. Athletes will be provided with a formal write up identifying their strengths and weaknesses with individual goals highlighted for both the athlete and exercise specialists supervising the program.
Covid measures will be followed. Masks, distancing, and limited participants. All equipment will be cleaned before and after each session.
